Joseph E. Touhalisky, DDS
Please welcome Dr. Joseph Touhalisky to the Findlay area, as he is eager to get to know you. Dr. Touhalisky earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Alma College of Alma, Michigan. Prior to his dental education, Dr. Touhalisky worked as a Research Technologist at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, in Cleveland, Ohio conducting human clinical trials for the treatment of brain cancer, for which he co-published two articles. Dr Touhalisky attended the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. During his clinical years, Dr Touhalisky became interested in comprehensive dental care and aesthetic dentistry. While continuing his studies, he co-authored a dental article and presented his findings in Vancouver, B.C., for which he received an Institutional National Research Service Award in 1998. Prior to graduation, Dr. Touhalisky became proficient in many areas of dentistry, including surgical periodontics (gum surgery) and implantology. Furthermore, he received the following awards: the Northeastern Society of Periodontists Achievement Award and the American Equilibration Society Achievement Award. Dr. Touhalisky graduated Cum Laude, in the top 10% of class, in 2001 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Upon graduation Dr. Touhalisky was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society
, Theta Chapter as an associate member. OKU is a national dental honor society to promote and recognize potential qualities of future professional growth, including leadership, and to honor exemplary traits of character among students of dentistry. Dr. Touhalisky has practice dentistry in Cleveland for the past 6 years. Dr. Touhalisky has professional memberships in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Ohio Dental Association. As a continued student of the profession, Dr. Touhalisky takes regular continuing education courses to be a better dentist. As dentistry changes to meet patient's dental needs, Dr. Touhalisky continues to utilize the latest techniques available to deliver the best possible care to his patients.
Dr. Touhalisky is originally from Northeast Ohio. He and his wife Kathy and their two daughters; Alyssa and Rylee are relocating from the Cleveland area. Dr. Touhalisky and his wife look forward to becoming active members of the Findlay community.
